Religious Education (RE)
Religous education is an important part of the Unitarian Universalist experience. We welcome participation in facilitating or simplying helping out with either/both Adult and Children's program
Worship Leaders
Worship Leaders help deliver a smooth and
meaningful worship experience on Sunday morning. The Worship
Leaders speak from the pulpit during the chalice lighting and
readings, facilitate Candles of Joy and Sorrow, choose
readings and hymns, introduce the speaker, and close the
service. Volunteers for this role are encouraged to meet with
the Worship Committee monthly to help plan and prepare for
upcoming services.

Members of the Worship Committee plan
worship programs and help lay leaders with any special needs.
We are looking for new members to help with programming and to
coordinate the production of a weekly order of service.
Membership Committee
Among other
things, members of this committee greet visitors, help the
facilitator create a welcoming atmosphere, develop a plan for
integrating newcomers into the congregation, and maintain
records of members and friends.
Finance
Committee
The finance committee is responsible for
the management of financial resources. The finance committee
works with other committees and the board of trustees to
develop a budget based on past experiences and on the
congregation’s vision of the future and the mission statement.
HUUF Board Nominating
Committee
The nominating committee works to find
members willing to serve on the HUUF board of
directors.
Social Action/Justice
Committee
There are many ways to actively seek
social justice through the HUUF community. The Social Action
Committee coordinates community projects like our work at
Little Black Creek Water Park. We are looking for committee
members with ideas and energy.

If you would be willing
to serve on the board as a trustee or officer, please let
one of the current Board Members know. HUUF Board
Members attend monthly meetings to make decisions about how to
run HUUF.
Public
Relations/Newsletter
Members of this committee
help coordinate public relations for HUUF. We are looking
for people who would like to help with public relations
and with the newsletter.
Potluck Sunday
Volunteer
Volunteers help set up for first Sunday
pot luck dinners and clean up afterward. This job often falls
to the same few folks month after month. We’re looking for
volunteers who can help out occasionally so the faithful few
can take off now and then.
Circle Supper Program
We need
volunteers to help coordinate Circle Suppers. Circle Suppers –
circulating supper groups – are a meaningful and fun way to
build and maintain fellowship within our church community.
We’re looking for one or two members to help organize the
groups.
Music@HUUF
Everyone is welcome to
participate in music at HUUF! There are no auditions. If you
play an instrument or sing and would like to contribute your
talents, please let us know.
